Dr Amani Maalouf

Role

 Dr. Amani Maalouf is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Environmental Engineering. She has a Ph.D. degree in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering.  Her general research interest is in life cycle assessment modelling, economic analysis, waste management, renewable energy,  climate change  mitigation and circular economy. She has more than 30 publications in international peer-reviewed scientific journals, conferences, and book chapters related to waste management and environmental management fields and was an invited speaker in leading international conferences. She worked as a senior expert and team leader on multiple national and international environmental projects funded by international organizations.

Research

Dr. Amani Maalouf is currently working with the architecture engineering research group on the CUSTOM-ART and PowerSkin Plus  European Commission funded projects for the environmental life cycle assessment, techno-economic assessment, optimization and modelling of the next generation and innovative façade solution based on the smart integration of highly energy efficient components, including super-insulative elements, solar energy harvesting and active energy storage features for building applications.
