Role
Ben is currently the Subject Co-ordinator for the BSc Sport, Coaching & Physical Education degree, as well as leading recruitment and marketing for the Sport & Coaching Sciences programmes.
Ben teaches across the BSc Sport, Coaching & Physical Education, and BSc Sport & Exercise Science degree programmes. Ben leads SPOR4003 Human Movement & Skill in Sport, and teaches across the coaching module pathway.
Ben also supervises MSc and MA post-graduate research degrees.

MA by Research (Jan 2025 - current): Davina Adesanya - Integration and impact of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) interventions across County Football Associations on Black, Asian, and Ethnic Minority football coaches
Research
Ben's research focuses on the fields of skill and human movement within sport. Specifically, examinations of the visual search skills of elite athletes in complex environments.
His current research focus intends to challenge traditional methodologies in studies of skilled behaviour.
Ben also has an extended research interest in the intersection of sport, physical activity and society. With a current view on the impact of neoliberalism on physical literacy and physical activity.
