Dr Carly Schabowski is the USA Today bestseller of eight historical fiction novels: The Ringmaster’s Daughter is Carly’s debut novel and was published by Bookouture in July 2020, and her second novel, The Watchmaker of Dachau published in January 2021. These texts are both true, epic, moving historical novels centred around survival, human suffering, and the finding of love within the backdrop of the desperate and uncertain times of 1940s Europe. Carly’s third book, The Rainbow published in July 2021 and her fourth historical fiction novel The Note published in March 2022. Carly’s next book, All The Courage We Have was published in November 2022. Carly’s latest book, The Secret She Kept, was published in May 2023, with The Postcard following in August 2023.

Carly's work has been translated into eleven languages and her ninth novel The Girl with the Red Ribbon is dure for release in November 2024.

Carly previously worked as a journalist in both Cyprus and Australia, before completing her MA in Creative Writing at Oxford Brookes, as well as her PhD that investigated the author's responsibility within historical fiction. Her novels focus on familial storytelling, lenses of memory and trauma memory, and historiographical metafiction.
