Role

David leads the CIBER research group (http://ciber-research.eu), which specialises in scholarly communications research and has undertaken 50 research projects and published 400 journal articles.  The group is also known for evaluating behaviours in the virtual space, especially in regard to the Google Generation, work which has featured in the media, including BBC TV (Virtual Revolution Series). David is currently a professor at the Universities of Tennessee and Wuhan. He has also held chairs at Northumbria University, Tomsk State University, UCL and City University. David was Director of the Department of Information Studies, UCL, where he founded and lead the UCL Centre for Publishing during 2004 – 2011. 

David’s role at Brookes is to help develop an international scholarly communications research programme at the Oxford International Centre for Publishing.
