Mr Edward Rea

Bioimaging Technician / Light microscopy specialist

Department of Biological and Medical Sciences

Role

I'm responsible for the light microscopy side of the Oxford Brookes Centre for Bioimaging - I can help with experimental design and analysis and any booking and training needs you might have.

If you want to get started working with light microscopy, get in touch!

Research

I have previously worked in malaria cell biology research, investigating key cell division kinases and phosphatases, and also looking at centriole regulation in Drosophila. Both of these involved extensive use of molecular techniques, reverse genetics and fluorescent imaging both in live and fixed samples.
