Emily leads on the development and implementation of impact evaluation approaches across Oxford Brookes University in support of the aims and intentions of Oxford Brookes’ Access and Participation Plan. She has over 5 years of experience in the field of widening participation, including experience of developing theory of change and logic models, qualitative and quantitative data collection methods, and data analysis. Emily was previously employed as Data and Evaluation Manager by Study Higher, an OfS-funded Uni Connect partnership based at Oxford Brookes.

Emily oversees development of the newly-established Centre for the Evaluation of Access, Participation and Student Success (CEAPSS) and values empowering and participatory collaborative approaches to evaluation design, seeking to deploy evaluation expertise and methodologies including Theory of Change and quasi-experimental approaches to support understanding of impact at activity, programme and institutional levels. Emily works closely with data and compliance processes and also sits as a member of the HEAT Steering Group. She is also a peer reviewer for the international academic journal Widening Participation and Lifelong Learning.
