Role
I am a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council since September 2014. I joined the Oxford Brookes University Midwifery Team in April 2024. My role includes teaching theory and clinical skills, supporting students and assessing their work across all aspects of the programme.
As a Simulation and Immersive Based Learning Lead for Midwifery, I contribute to developing and embedding new learning experiences within our programme.
I have experience of working within Community, Hospital wards, and as a member of the Practice Development Team facilitating delivery of mandatory training to NHS maternity staff.
My passion and interests have always been around infant feeding, supporting women’s autonomy, and the physiology of birth. I particularly enjoy supporting women through their infant feeding journey, in understanding their body in relation to pregnancy, labour and birth, and sharing my knowledge through teaching students and midwifery staff.

I am the module leader for the year one module Public Health in Midwifery 1 and I co-lead year one module; Midwifery Practice 2.
I also teach across other modules in all three years of the programme and I supervise BSc Dissertations.
