Lisa Hale

Programme Lead, Pathways Programmes

Oxford Brookes Business School

Role

I have over 25 years teaching and management experience in both the higher education and private language sector and have been working at Oxford Brookes University with international students since 2003. I was previously the Subject Co-ordinator and Senior Lecturer for University English (the Pathways pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes and study skills course). In addition to working in the UK, I have worked in Italy, France, Switzerland and the US.

Teaching and supervision

I teach across a wide range of English language and study skills modules on Pathways and on the BA Applied Languages (English as a Foreign Language pathway) programme.

Research

Having completed a Master's in Online and Distance Education, I am interested in e-learning and the use of technology in teaching and learning, in particular around online assessment and feedback.
