Lucy Floyd

Role

Lucy began her teaching career at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice (a joint venture of Oxford University and Oxford Brookes) in 2001. After holding posts at the University of Westminster and City Law School (City, University of London) between 2015 and 2020 she returned to Brookes as Programme Lead in Law in September 2020. 

Lucy holds a degree in Jurisprudence from Oxford University and a PhD from Keele University. Her PhD thesis was entitled Becoming a female solicitor: vocational professional training as a site of identity formation and professional socialisation. Her research interests focus on legal education, the legal profession and legal professional identities.

Lucy is a qualified (non-practising) solicitor and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
