Role

I have responsibility over the day to day running and administration of the final year Postgraduate
MArchD course, lead the 3 final year Postgraduate Design modules and 2 first year Postgraduate
Design Studio Specialisation modules and am Lead Tutor for final year Design Studio DS1.
Alongside course and module leadership I tutor on 2 other first year PG modules, facilitate final
year PG student forums and have academic advisory and Dissertation supervision duties across
the PG and UG schools. I have examined for the RIBA Examination in Architecture programme and
acted as a private tutor for students on the RIBA Examination. I lecture on Collage and Narrative in
Architecture.

Research

My research areas include: Cross-disciplinary practice, arts practice and design thinking, dereliction and memory, architectural fiction, fictional psychogeography, installation art, collage theory and practice and the creative process. My ongoing cross-disciplinary research and PhD proposal is concerned with architectural narrative in the stories of J.G. Ballard.

Alongside 10 years of conventional architectural practice with 8 practices in London and the South of England, I worked in research-led design projects including developing CNC fabrication and self-build technologies with Nick Willson, Alasdair Travers and Bruce Bell and Creative Re-use and World Heritage renovation projects with Nash Partnership in Bath. I am a practicing freelance artist and illustrator specialised in physical and digital collage.
