Role
I am a Molecular Biologist and Bioinformatician at the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences. My research focuses on the structural and functional analysis of the plant endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and its critical role in protein production. By employing advanced molecular techniques and high-resolution confocal imaging, I investigate the architecture of the ER to better understand its involvement in essential cellular processes.
In addition, I specialize in RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) analysis to explore gene expression patterns and regulatory networks in plants. A key aspect of my work aims to enhance the nutritional value of crops as a sustainable approach to addressing malnutrition. Through integrative bioinformatics and molecular biology, I contribute to the development of nutrient-rich plant varieties with potential global health impact.
