Role
Dr Nashed holds a PhD in Electronic Textiles Encapsulation from Nottingham Trent University, UK. Between 2021 and 2022, he worked as a Research Fellow within the Advanced Textiles Research Group. From 2024 to 2025, Dr Nashed served as a Research Fellow at University College London (UCL), leading instrumentation for the RED Frame project, which supported the design and optimization of treatments for rare craniofacial conditions.
His UG teaching experience spans multiple institutions, including Buckinghamshire New University and the University of Derby. In 2026, Dr Nashed joined Oxford Brookes University as a permanent member of the academic staff.

Research
Dr Nashed’s research focuses on experimental prototyping and numerical modeling for wearable technologies, advanced materials development, and micromanufacturing. He has extensive expertise in applied design and prototyping for healthcare wearable products.
