Consultancy

Pete has engaged in a range of consultancy and knowledge exchange activities focusing on criminological and educational concerns. This includes recently leading a team of colleagues in a review of Birmingham City Council’s Youth Violence Response and writing modules for a CPD programme for the National Youth Agency focusing on child criminal exploitation and youth violence.

In 2023, he designed and delivered a project (Harm Free Futures) focused on gender-based violence and abuse amongst young people, in the light of recent controversies surrounding sexual violence in schools and the influence of figures such as Andrew Tate.

Further details

Pete also has a strong interest in education and has several publications that provide detailed accounts of how he both promotes and deliver excellence and inclusion in research and teaching.
