Role

I am a Lecturer and Placement Lead for Midwifery. My role includes teaching across all years of the midwifery programme. As Placement Lead I have a close working relationship with our practice partners ensuring positive experiences and learning opportunities are available for our students. 

I have worked in midwifery education at Oxford Brookes University since March 2024. Prior to this, I have extensive experience of working in clinical practice as a Labour Ward Coordinator and a background working within NHS clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement. 

Teaching and supervision

Modules taught

I am the module leader for the year two module Midwifery Practice 4: The Midwife as Clinician. 

In addition to this, I teach across all other modules and years of the midwifery programmes and co-supervise BSc dissertations. 

Research

I am currently jointly working on a systematic literature review looking at intermittent auscultation in low and middle income countries.
