“Oxford Brookes really reaches out to its students. And Oxford is such a great town — people are so friendly”

The seminars on my Law course are very interactive. The tutors really encourage us to talk and communicate. As lawyers we have to learn to do that, so this has been great personal development for me. I’ve also learned a lot from our group discussions.

‘The law fairs have helped me decide what to do’

Another really great thing is the opportunities here, like mock criminal trials and careers fairs. Every event I’ve been to has been amazing. At the law fairs, we’ve been able to meet lawyers and barristers and ask them questions. This has really helped me decide what I want to do.

I actually chose Brookes because it has such a great variety of modules. I’m interested in corporate law, so the module in Computer Law and Intellectual Property stood out for me — it was super-interesting and really relevant.

When you first arrive here, obviously it’s a new environment, but luckily everyone is so friendly and very approachable. My main advice to new students is to ask questions! The teachers will help you, no matter what.
