BSc (Hons) Construction Project Management
I chose Oxford Brookes because of its outstanding reputation for built environment courses.
Oxford's vibrant, student-friendly environment and the chance for hands-on experience through an industrial placement were key factors in my decision. The course offered a perfect balance of academic theory and practical application, taught by knowledgeable and supportive tutors. The skills and insights I gained have been directly transferable to my career.
My tutors brought their own unique insights and real-world experiences.
These completely transformed how I understood the built environment and the challenges it faces. They encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and embrace new opportunities with confidence. The course was designed to challenge us, pushing us to think critically and work both independently and collaboratively. It brought us together as a cohort, and created lasting friendships. Even now, I often meet people in the industry who studied at Oxford Brookes, which speaks for itself. The connections I made at university continue to be valuable both professionally and personally.
The placement was a standout feature.
It provided hands-on experience and helped me discover the areas I was most passionate about. The practical experience, combined with the knowledge gained during the course, boosted my confidence and positioned me perfectly to pursue chartership, while giving me a competitive edge as a graduate entering the industry.
The broad scope of the course has been invaluable to my career so far.
It has given me the flexibility to adapt and grow within the industry. Co-founding an asset management business in early 2024 has drawn on so much of what I learned. The frequent presentations during the course still help me today, whether I’m pitching to investors or speaking at events.
