“I chose the Oxford Brookes LLB because of its great reputation”
Law at Oxford Brookes has a really good reputation. Law students from Brookes have won mooting competitions, and there are lots of different opportunities.
If it hadn’t been for the pandemic, I would have gone to the European Youth Parliament as part of a Brookes team. We were going to talk about Syrian refugees and their struggles.
The other reason I chose Oxford Brookes is because of its great sports reputation. I play professional cricket. Brookes cricket is associated with the MCC Universities programme, so you get to play on the national level here.
‘Bringing together my degree and my love of sport’
Sports law is one of the areas of law that interests me — bringing together my degree and my love of sport. I found out about it through Oxford Brookes, when I went to a law fair. There was a firm there that does sports law. I discovered that you can work as a lawyer for a sports club, and deal with their legal issues.
When I first arrived at Brookes, I was a little bit lost … but people were pretty welcoming. I’m now part of a huge group of friends, from my halls and from the cricket team.
