Why did you decide to study in the UK? And why did you decide to study at Oxford Brookes University?

The UK and especially Brookes University is very diverse, and so I wanted to study in a place where I can open my mind to so many different views and perspectives by people from different cultures and ethnicities.

What course are you studying and why did you choose to study it at Oxford Brookes University? Was there enough information about the chosen course?

I’m studying Marketing Management and I chose to study it in Brookes because of the various options for their Marketing courses (such as Business and marketing, marketing communications, events marketing etc.). Another advantage was that I had the option to change my course by the end of first year, if I didn’t feel like it was the right one for me.

Did you have enough support during your application process by our teams (educational agency, admissions, international team)? How was the communication during this process?

Yes, I definitely did. The student central and ISAT was very helpful throughout the whole application and visa process.

Are you involved in any clubs or societies? How do they add to your overall university experience? Would you recommend them to new students?

I’m part of the improv society, business society and I’m also the PR leader for the Indian Society. It’s so much fun and the rich culture just adds to it. I would definitely recommend it to new students as it’s a great way to meet new people, socialize and even network.

What do you like most about Oxford Brookes University?

The balance of university work and social life. It’s not work work work all the time, and they understand that. So I like that the university allows me to have that balance.

What do you like most about living in Oxford? What is your favourite place?

Oxford is a student city so there’s always so many things to do everyday. And there’s student discounts almost everywhere you go. My favourite place on a night out would probably be Plush and then of course McDonalds, the best way to end the night.

Are you living in University accommodation or in a private accommodation? How did you find your accommodation? Any recommendations for students?

I live in university accommodation and I like it quite a lot because I’m surrounded by fellow students and the security is very good as well. I would definitely recommend it because it’s part of the student experience.
