I came to Oxford Brookes to study a Pre-Masters course, partly to continue my education, but also to be closer to my family, who are based in Oxford. Being able to support them while also working towards my own goals was very important to me. At the same time, I wanted to gain international experience and continue developing myself, both academically and personally.
The Pre-Masters programme felt like the right step because it gave me time to adjust and build my confidence before progressing to a full Master’s degree.

After taking time away from education, I did not want to go straight into a Master’s degree without preparation. The course helped me improve my academic English, research skills and understanding of writing for postgraduate studies. It gave me the foundation to work from and made the transition into further study more manageable.

I really enjoy living in Oxford. The environment feels safe and welcoming, and I appreciate being able to experience a different culture and way of life. Meeting people from different cultures has been one of the most exciting parts of my experience, helping me develop a broader perspective and improve my communication skills in an international setting.

Adjusting to university life has not always been easy. I’ve focused a lot on my studies to close knowledge gaps and build my confidence, which means I spend a lot of time in the library. However, this has helped me become more disciplined, and I feel more prepared for the next stage of my studies.

My academic advisor has been an important source of guidance, helping me understand my options and adjust my plans, as needed. The support has made it easier to stay focused and move forward.
Looking ahead, I plan to progress to a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing and continue building my skills and experience. I am open to exploring different opportunities and gaining as much experience as possible, both academically and professionally.
Overall, my experience at Oxford Brookes has helped me return to education with confidence, while also giving me the foundation to pursue my long term goals.
