Pre-sessional English + MSc International Business and Supply Chain Management, 2026, Thailand, Student
“The pre-sessional English programme helped me settle in. It covered how the academic system works, helped me develop the right mindset, improved my English skills and got me used to the learning culture.”
“The master’s programme links academic knowledge with real industry experience.”
There is a focus on international business and supply chains, which matches my professional background. Oxford Brookes seemed like the right fit since it supports mature students with industry experience and offers a diverse, global learning environment. Besides academic quality, the living environment matters to me, and Oxford’s reputation as a city of learning, with its calm atmosphere and beautiful surroundings, played a big part in my decision to study at Oxford Brookes.
“Adjusting to a new academic culture meant learning to study on my own and think critically.”
Before I arrived, an education representative in Thailand gave me clear guidance on what to expect and how to prepare. I also received very helpful advice from an alumni who studied at Oxford Brookes. After I arrived, the pre-sessional English programme helped me settle in. It covered how the academic system works, helped me develop the right mindset, improved my English skills and got me used to the learning culture. It encouraged independent study, and the teachers provided useful guidance and feedback throughout. This support made starting my master’s programme easier and boosted my confidence in English and communication.
“My master’s has enhanced my skills in many areas.”
This includes skills and knowledge in structured decision-making, value chain analysis, and collaborative problem-solving. I strengthened my ability to coordinate diverse perspectives, communicate effectively and support shared decisions. Additionally, I developed a comprehensive understanding of how commercial strategy, procurement, logistics, and sustainability interrelate to influence long-term business performance. These skills complement my industry experience and prepare me for expanded commercial leadership roles.
“Oxford is a historic city full of academic inspiration and a great learning vibe.”
In my free time, I exercise, play tennis, and visit museums and local cultural events. These activities help me stay balanced and healthy while studying. I also take advantage of this time to improve my English through daily conversations and self-study. I stayed in University accommodation during the pre-sessional course, which helped me settle into the new environment and connect with other international students. When my master’s began, I moved to private accommodation, which allowed me to become more independent and manage my daily life and study routine more effectively.
“I intend to pursue a Commercial Manager position within a business-to-business environment.”
Within this role, I aim to assume full responsibility for revenue growth, develop strategic key accounts, and lead cross-functional execution. In the long term, I aim to contribute to sustainable business performance by aligning commercial strategy with operational efficiency and responsible resource management. Additionally, I plan to further develop my communication and leadership skills in international and multicultural settings.
