“My course has given me confidence in my own knowledge, and also boosted important skills such as communication, collaboration and time management.”

“Oxford Brookes is ranked really well for Physiotherapy.”

When researching universities, I was drawn to the strong sense of community. As an international student, it was reassuring to see that there was always something happening and many opportunities to meet new people. There were also numerous resources available to support me when I moved abroad, and even beforehand. I received a £1,000 International Student Scholarship which was also one of the deciding factors when I made my decision to study at Oxford Brookes.

“One of the main things that really helped me when I moved was the people I met.”

They made the place feel like home, and it was nice to have a group of friends who were all experiencing the same sense of newness at the same time as me.

“My course has given me an abundance of skills.”

I will take these with me into my practice placements and after graduation. It's given me confidence in my own knowledge, and also boosted important skills such as communication, collaboration and time management.

“I have joined the swimming society this year and I've loved it.”

It’s such a great way to meet people, while keeping a good balance between university work and socialising, and it gives you an excuse to have some fun. It’s also been a really good way for me to stay active while trying to balance all the other aspects of moving away from home and living by myself.

“My course has shown me that there are many different avenues for a physiotherapist.”

It can open up many doors and opportunities. I'm really excited to see what comes after this!
