Details: Training will be delivered by Dr Robyn Curtis (Research Ethics & Integrity Officer) and walks staff through the process of obtaining ethics approval from the University Research Ethics Committee (UREC), to help make your journey as smooth as possible. 

It will cover the requirements of the application form and supporting documentation, the timescale for review and who can help at Faculty and University levels. It will explain what is meant by the terms "Conditional approval" and "Resubmission", and what your next steps should be to gain timely "Full approval" for the study to begin.

Target audience: This University Research & KE training session is mandatory for all new research-active staff whose research involves human participants, human material or personal data, as part of the First Three Years EXPLORE@Brookes programme. It is also open as a refresher to all established researchers.
