Covering letters workshop

Covering Letters are still frequently used by employers as part of the application process. They give you space to be more reflective and demonstrate your suitability in more detail. This workshop is designed to show you how to structure, and what you should include on your Covering Letters. This one hour session is interactive and virtual.

Volunteer Celebration Tea Party 2026 (Student Volunteer Week)

Join us for a relaxed celebration this Student Volunteer Week for all volunteers and collect your certificate. We look forward to seeing you!
Have you volunteered in the past year? We want to say a big thank you for volunteering and giving your time to support important causes. We will be holding a Volunteer Celebration Tea Party on Tuesday 10th February, where you can stop by any time between 12.30pm and 2.30pm in the ThinkSpace in JHBB, Headington Campus. Pop in any time between 12.30pm-2.30pm for some tea or coffee and cake and pick up your printed certificate.

30 mins CPR workshop: Learn how to restart a heart (Student Volunteer Week)
Wednesday 11 February 2026, register for a 30 minute slot between 12:00pm and 2:00pm, Think Space- JHBB G.02
Would you know what to do if someone had a cardiac arrest? Do you need a refresher? Would you know why a Defibrillator has a razor in it? During Student Volunteer Week, South Central Ambulance Charity will be attending with some of their volunteers to answer all these and show you how to perform effective CPR. You can also find out more about the charity, their other volunteering roles and how you can get involved.
Workshops will be held in 30-minute slots. When registering, please select all the sessions you are available to attend. Each session has a maximum capacity of 12 participants. You will receive an email confirming your assigned session one week in advance.

Preparing for your face to face or virtual assessment centre

You may be asked to take part in an Assessment Centre in the coming months, either virtually or in-person. Join our online workshop to understand the different activities you might face (e.g. psychometric tests and group interviews among others) and the best resources to use for your preparation. Our top tips will help you feel confident facing an Assessment Centre, remotely and in-person, yet still knowing exactly how to stand out from the crowd.
