I have failed a module. What should I do?

First, contact your Student Support Co-ordinator or Academic Adviser for advice about the academic and financial implications.

If the module is a compulsory requirement of your programme, you will be required to retake the module you have failed. Please note, if you do not successfully pass the compulsory module on the second attempt you will be required to withdraw from the course.

If it is an optional module, you can retake or register for an alternative module. If you are retaking modules please refer to the appropriate credit limit regulation for your award.

For full-time students, there is an additional module fee if you register more than 8 module credits in an academic year. For more details, please see the tuition fees page.
