Student Support Coordinators

We want to help you get the most out of your experience here at Oxford Brookes University. Our Student Support Coordinators (known as SSCs) are here to support and guide you.

Everyone can feel a little overwhelmed at times and our SSCs can help with any academic or personal issues you may face during your time at university.

How to contact your SSC

If you need wellbeing or support advice, visit the Student Hub in the John Henry Brookes Building. You can also pre-book a support and wellbeing appointment with a Student Support Coordinator via the Student Hub page.

Alternatively, submit an enquiry via the Student Support Coordinator (SSC) Contact Form and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

For contact details of the SSCs with expertise in your programme area, find your school in the list below.

For information on how your personal data is processed and stored by the SSC teams, please read the Student Services Confidentiality, Privacy and Information Sharing Policy.

How your SSC can help

SSCs can support with the following:

  • First point of contact for non-academic issues, including concerns with wellbeing, personal and confidential issues
  • Advice on navigating University systems and processes, such as registering modules, taking time out, applying for Exceptional Circumstances
  • Signposting and referrals to services such as Counselling, Inclusive Support Services, your Academic Adviser, Student Money Advice and the Centre for Academic Development (CAD)

If we don't know the answer to your question, we will know someone who does.
