Student Support Co-ordinators

Across Oxford Brookes University, a network of Student Support Co-ordinators (known as SSCs) are here to support you and can help with any problem or issue you may face during your time at university.

Everyone can feel a little overwhelmed at times but there is lots of support available and we can help you find it. No problem is too small to help with, equally if the going gets tough we’re here to support you.

We want to make sure you are able to get the most out of your experience here at Oxford Brookes and that nothing gets in the way.

How to contact your SSC

SSCs are happy to speak with you about any academic or personal issues you may be experiencing. To find out which SSCs are in your Faculty and how to contact them, please visit your Faculty SSC page below or you can check on Student Information under 'My Record & Results'. You will also find the name of your Academic Adviser on this page who may also be able to help you.

Alternatively, you can submit an enquiry via the Student Contact Form and an SSC in your Faculty will get back to you as soon as possible.

For information on how your personal data is processed and stored by the SSC teams, please read the SSC SNoW Privacy Notice.

How your SSC can help

SSCs provide dedicated support in your Department and if we don't know the answer to your question, we will know someone who does. We offer a confidential and non-judgemental service with regular office hours.

SSCs deal with a wide range of queries, such as how to use your Student Information pages and change modules, as well as personal and confidential issues. We can, if necessary, refer students to one of the central services such as counselling, disability or an Academic Adviser.

Some SSCs specialise in particular subjects. However, if the person you want to speak to is not available, you can go and see one of the other SSCs in your Faculty.

For information on how your personal data is processed and stored by the SSC teams, please read the SSC SNoW Privacy Notice.
