Creative Industries Festival: Creative Mentoring

How do we encourage the next generation on their path to creative employment? In collaboration with the Children and Young People Network, this session highlights the importance of mentoring.

In collaboration with the Children and Young People Network and chaired by Dr Shelly Coe, this session introduces Samuel Conley, Outreach and Community Manager for the Creative Mentor Network, together with a mentor from the Soho Farmhouse Mentorship programme (Ellen Nicholson - Campaigns Specialist at Sanofi), who discuss the value of mentoring young creatives. Then Lucy Turner, Associate Dean of Education and Student Experience Employability Lead in the School of Arts, and students from Brookes Creative talk about their experience of running a students-as-partners initiative to help connect creative industries with Oxford Brookes University Arts students. The session includes opportunities for networking and building new connections.
