These stories are our stories - reclaiming narratives beyond Black History Month

Join us for this open lecture, delivered by Oxford Brookes Chancellor, actor and author Paterson Joseph.

Paterson Joseph

The theme for Black History Month in October 2024 was “reclaiming narratives”. Paterson Joseph is the Chancellor of Oxford Brookes University and a distinguished actor and author. He has passion for sharing unheard or erased stories about Black British history, and will deliver a lecture on why it belongs to everyone and should be woven into all the places and spaces where British history is taught and discussed.

He will be joined by a panel comprising members of the Oxford Brookes community to reflect on what they have heard through the lens of their own stories and experiences.
