Oxford Brookes University is hosting Thrive Festival once again in 2022, with a week of activities to inspire entrepreneurs to grow their businesses and celebrate ideas, creativity and innovation.

Thrive Festival is free to attend and open to all, whether you are already involved in entrepreneurialism or eager to learn more about it.

This will be the fifth year that Oxford Brookes has hosted Thrive Festival, which will run from Monday 14 until Saturday 19 November, and the events will focus on four key themes of Power in Purpose, Mindset, Business Basics and Creative Solutions.

Across the festival, both online and in-person events will be taking place, including:

  • How To Say No And Get Away With It, an online event delivered by skills trainer and comedian Dr Steve Cook.

  • Food For Thought - Sustainable Food Panel. An online discussion on food production with speakers from Fruu Cosmetics, The Wonky Food Company and Oxford Food Larder.

  • Power Through Problem Solving in-person event with Claudia Filsinger-Mohun to help you to power through problem-solving using Visual Mapping.

The festival will conclude with two Cowley Road food tours, where attendees can take a slow amble along Cowley Road in East Oxford and be introduced to a wealth of international tastes.

Elizabeth Cameron, Enterprise Support Manager at Oxford Brookes University, said: “Each and every year I am amazed at the huge array of talent we have at Oxford Brookes, and in the wider community, all of whom are so generous with their time in making Thrive happen and make it the growing success it is.

“I am thoroughly looking forward to welcoming everyone to Thrive Festival 2022 and seeing our exciting events get underway.”
