Oxford Brookes Business School pops up at Westgate shopping centre
Small business owners can receive free advice from Oxford Brookes Business School on how to grow their business at a pop up event this week.
The Pop Up Business School will be at Westgate shopping centre in Oxford all week from 9 to 15 January.
Staff from Oxford Brookes Business School will be on hand to talk about a range of schemes and support aimed at helping local businesses to prosper.
This includes the Help to Grow: Management course which offers local business leaders the chance to access a free course worth £7,500 that will help them grow their companies. The 12 week programme is designed to fit alongside work commitments and combines a practical curriculum with one-to-one support from a business mentor and alumni networking sessions.
Oxford Brookes Business School is also running a new course in partnership with Blenheim Palace which runs from 6 to 10 February called Implementing Strategy. Participants will gain insights into how to ensure that organisational strategy is effectively implemented and successfully executed.
Other courses include Leader as Coach which aims to help business leaders hone their coaching skills, while putting coaching in the context of a leader’s wider responsibilities.
Professor Tim Vorley, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of Oxford Brookes Business School, said: “Small and medium sized businesses are the lifeblood of our local economy. In these challenging times, we are passionate about working with Oxfordshire businesses to improve their resilience and help them grow.
“I’d encourage local business owners to visit us at Westgate shopping centre next week to find out more about what we can offer.”
The Pop Up Business School will be at Westgate shopping centre from 10am to 8pm, from Monday 9 January to Friday 13 January, from 9am to 8pm on Saturday 14 January, and from 11am to 5pm on Sunday 15 January.
