Oxford Brookes University ready to support students through 2025 Clearing
Oxford Brookes University is ready to support prospective students through the 2025 Clearing process, offering personalised advice and guidance to help individuals find the right course and take the next step in their academic journey.
On Thursday 14 August, more than 100 trained staff members will be on hand to manage the University’s Clearing phone lines, providing a friendly and efficient service to students receiving their exam results.Helen Hall, Director of UK Recruitment and Admissions at Oxford Brookes University, said: “Clearing is a major milestone in the admissions calendar, and we know it can be a stressful time. At Oxford Brookes, we’re committed to making the process as smooth and supportive as possible. Our team will be on hand to answer around 2,500 calls on Results Day, helping students navigate their options and discover the opportunities waiting for them.”
In addition to phone support, the University’s Clearing service will include live chat options on the website, as well as the opportunity to connect directly with current Oxford Brookes students for honest, first-hand insights into life at the University.
Helen added: “Clearing is not a last resort—it’s a fresh start. Many of our current students came to Oxford Brookes through Clearing and are now thriving on their courses. We’re here to help every caller explore their potential and take confident steps toward a successful future.”
To support applicants further, Oxford Brookes will host a dedicated Clearing Open Day on Saturday 16 August, giving prospective students a chance to visit campus, talk to academics, and get a feel for student life.
Physiotherapy student Ranvir Sogi joined Oxford Brookes through Clearing in 2023 and has fully embraced university life. He now serves as a Student Ambassador, representing the University at Open and Applicant Days, leading campus tours, and giving talks to visiting school and college groups.
“When I applied, I found the Clearing process really straightforward,” says Ranvir. “My advice to anyone applying through Clearing is to be prepared—have all your documentation ready when you call, and make sure your grades meet the course requirements.”
