Varsity 2023
Finally… Varsity is back in Oxford for the first time since 2019 and we can't wait to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the event against Reading University!
Fixtures and Results
The score currently stands at 7-2 in Brookes' favour, and with over 40 points up for grabs, this year is sure to be an excitingly competitive one.
The main day of Varsity action is on Saturday 25th March, with fixtures taking place across Oxford at Brookes Sport, Headington and Harcourt Hill, Oxford Quins RFC, Blackbird Leys Pool, Florence Park Tennis Courts and Studley Wood Golf Course.
This year there is a new and unified TEAMBrookes mascot leading the charge – the Brookes Bulldogs! The Brookes Union, led by Phoebe, VP Activities and Employability Officer have worked hard to unify the teams behind the Brookes Bulldogs for 2023.
The Brookes Bulldogs head into the weekend with a 3-2 lead, having won the Equestrian, Shooting and Men's Rugby Union 3rd fixtures on Wednesday. The Reading Knights were successful in the Athletics and Polo fixtures.
The action kicks off on Saturday at Brookes Sport, Headington with Men’s Futsal at 8:30am and will end with Men’s Basketball tipping off at 9pm.
The event is free for spectators and we really encourage people to come down and cheer on the teams as it’s set to be a brilliant day of sport! If you can't make it down in person, keep an eye on our Instagram for updates throughout the day - @brookessportoxford.
The Brookes Sport, Sports Bar will be open 10 - 10pm and we are opening the Harcourt Bar, 10 - 4pm. Food will also be available to purchase across the Varsity sites. Alcohol will not be permitted court/pitchside. Please drink responsibly and keep the sidelines respectful.
Please also note that there is no parking at Brookes Sport, Headington so please use alternative transport routes.
