We are pleased to confirm that planning permission has been granted by Oxford City Council’s Planning Review Committee for the redevelopment of Clive Booth Student Village which will benefit students and the wider community. The University participated in extensive engagement with the local community which resulted in significant changes and improvements to the previous application.
Thank you to everyone over the past year who helped shape this important redevelopment, which will provide an increased number of high-quality rooms within the University’s estate. This will help to reduce the number of students living in private rented accommodation and support efforts to manage local housing demand.
The University will ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum while work is taking place. Initial work will commence in December 2021 and the University will continue to engage with students, staff and the local community.
Latest information on the redevelopment work taking place can be found on the works updates webpage.
