Subject Taster Days 2026

How many students can I bring each day?

On each day you can bring up to 20 students. 

Some events may have increased capacity but please check back when the programme of events is released. 

Do we need to send a staff member with our students? 

Yes, we would expect a member of your staff to attend the day to support your students. In the past we have offered a mini CPD session as a chance to network with our academics and other teachers attending the day, although this is not yet confirmed for this years Taster Days.

Once I have filled out the booking form does that mean we have secured our places on the day? 

Our Subject Taster Days are very popular and we receive a large volume of bookings for each day. Once you have filled in the booking form, a member of our team will be in contact within 5 working days to confirm if we can accommodate your booking. 

Will lunch be provided on the day? 

Unfortunately we are unable to provide lunch during this event and would encourage staff and students to bring a packed lunch on the day. If this is not possible there are a number of food outlets where lunch can be purchased and our staff will be able to help you locate these. 

My school/college is not attending. Can I still book on?

Yes, if you are a student in your first year (or repeating your first year) of sixth form or college and you know your school/college is not bringing a group of students, you can fill in the form as an individual student. 

Can I book on individually if my school and college are already attending the day?

No; if your school or college is already attending the day you would need to contact the teacher who is leading the event to state your interest. We can let you know who that teacher is if you are not sure. 

Do I need to get permission to attend?

Yes. Once we have confirmed you have a place you will be required to have a parent/carer and teacher to fill in permission forms. 

Do I need to book my own travel for the day?

You will need to book your own travel to and from the event and our team of Student Ambassadors will be available to meet you at the nearest bus stop to our campus. Our campuses are well connected by public transport.
