Role
I am a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering in the School of Engineering, Mathematics and Computing in the Faculty of Health, Science and Technology, where I am also the Postgraduate Engineering Subject Coordinator. As an alumnus of Oxford Brookes University, upon completion of my MSc in Motorsport Engineering degree, I was awarded the Oxford Brookes University’s 150th Year Studentship, where I completed my PhD in Mechanical Engineering degree in the field of tyre modelling.
Teaching and supervision
Modules taught
I am the module leader for the postgraduate-level ‘Laptime Simulation and Race Engineering’ and undergraduate-level ‘Motorsport Vehicle Performance’ modules. In addition, I supervise MSc dissertation projects at postgraduate-level and final-year projects at undergraduate-level.
I currently teach in the following modules:
-
Advanced Vehicle Dynamics
-
Laptime Simulation and Race Engineering
-
Motorsport Vehicle Performance
Research
My research background includes research and supervision of motorsport projects in collaboration with various racing teams, including Formula One and Formula E. My current research interests include:
-
tyre modelling;
-
vehicle dynamics and control;
-
vehicle state estimation;
-
lap-time simulation;
-
