Open Call for our 2018-2019 Exhibitions Programme

Our open call for our 2018-2019 exhibitions programme has now ended. We are currently in the process of considering our exhibitions programme for 2018-2019. If you have submitted an exhibition, we will be in touch again sometime in late May to let you know whether your proposal has been accepted. We will be accepting exhibitions for our 2019-2020 programme in January 2019, so watch this space!

We accept exhibition proposals from internal (staff, students and alumni) and external applicants based on the potential contributions they can give to the community in Oxford and the learning environment at Oxford Brookes. For a better understanding of the exhibitions the Glass Tank hosts please do explore the Archive section of our website. We also upload photos of our previous exhibitions onto our Flickr page, we would like to invite you to browse through this page to see how the gallery space can be adapted for each new exhibition that it holds.

The hire charge for external exhibitions is £450 per week which covers operational and staff costs and is inclusive of a private view event. Under exceptional circumstances, the hire fee may be waived if the exhibitor can show they can make a significant contribution to the learning environment at Oxford Brookes. This could be a series of workshops, a talk or a lecture, or a donation of a work to the university’s art collection. In such a case, the exhibitor would be expected to fund a private view event.

Exhibitions are programmed for 4-6 weeks, with an additional 2 days either side for installation and get-out time (this may vary).
