Sanctuary Art Project: Finding Home in Education

Sanctuary Art Project: Finding Home in Education

One of our Oxford Brookes students and MRN (Tamsin Barber and Zoe Jordan) contributed to a national collaborative Sanctuary art project, led by the University of East Anglia.

This project explores the role of places of education when searching for sanctuary, rebuilding life and finding home.  Artists, students and academics created posters to represent welcome and inclusion, and produced a film featuring students from across the UK sharing their lived experiences of education and searching for “home”.

The project will be exhibited at OBU in the Glass Tank Exhibition space, 8–10 April. 2024, with a launch event 10 of April, 12-1.30pm, featuring a screening of the film and short talks from the project organisers and participants. All students and staff are warmly welcomed.
