- Research-active staff involved in, or interested in, developing interdisciplinary research proposals for funding bodies
Details
Concept Mapping is a tool to organise and represent knowledge on any topic. It is very powerful in helping interdisciplinary teams develop a common understanding of complex issues and subject domains, which is crucial for writing strong inter-disciplinary research proposals. Small groups develop this common understanding as they draw a concept map in response to a focus question. This workshop will introduce concept mapping and illustrate an approach to exploiting it in interdisciplinary settings. Delegates will experiment with this approach during the workshop, to add another research tool to their armoury for developing strong proposals.Format
