This introductory session for new research-active staff will cover research strategy, policies and integrity; training and development opportunities; mentoring; institutional resources and support.

Navigating the Research Ethics Approval Process

24 November 2026, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm

Training will walk staff through the process of obtaining ethics approval from the University Research Ethics Sub-Committees, to help make your journey as smooth as possible.

Research Data Management

28 January 2027, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Training will cover IT resources for research data management, sharing your research data, data protection and creating a data management plan.

Applying for External Research Grants

11 February 2027, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Training will outline why external research funding is important, with a focus on university processes, systems and support. It will cover funding opportunities, costing, impact and peer support.
