- Exam scripts are available for collection from the Examinations Office in the Buckley building (Room BCK 1.08) the morning following the examination. Scripts from a morning exam session may be available earlier (from 3pm), but this cannot be guaranteed, particularly during busy times.
- Exam scripts may only be collected by Oxford Brookes staff. If you are a Module Leader and you cannot collect your exam scripts, please email the Examinations Office at: exams@brookes.ac.uk
- Alternative provision students often finish later than students in main exam rooms.
- Multiple-choice exams will be marked using OMR within 24 hours of the exam. The reports will be emailed to the Module Leader.
- Off-site scripts will be scanned and emailed to the Module Leader once they are sent to the Examinations Office by the host institution.
If students have PC provision as part of their ISP, they will be able to type their work on a PC via Moodle and Lockdown Browser. They will submit their script through Turnitin on Moodle. This information sheet for markers explains how you can obtain the scripts for marking.
Consult the mark entry training course for information on how to upload examination marks. The Examinations Office keeps exam registers and invigilator reports for three years. The 'session waste' from each exam is retained until the Chair’s Action Deadline.
Once exam scripts have been marked and Subject Exam Committees have met to confirm the marks, the scripts should be returned to the Examinations Office with the archive sheet provided. Examination scripts are archived for 5 years.
A student is entitled to see their own exam script under GDPR. If they want to do so, they should contact their Module Leader.
If the Module Leader returned the script to the Examinations Office for archiving, they can request it from us again and collect it in person.
The student can then view their script, take photos of it if they wish, and/or make photocopies of it. They must do so in the presence of the Module Leader, so that the script is not altered. The Module Leader is also best placed to answer any questions the student may have and explain the marking process.
The Examinations Office will not take requests directly from students.
