- gain recognition of the value you bring to your professional practice and demonstrate a sustained record of effectiveness in relation to higher education teaching and learning;
- address a key criterion in applying for promotion to Principal Lecturer for the Student Experience;
- gain a proxy measure of teaching quality for the purposes of TEF.
