As the days get longer and the weather starts to get a little warmer, why not enjoy a bit of a spring clean for your mind and body? A range of Step Into Spring activities have been organised between 27 March and 22 April to encourage you to get involved.

Free cycle training event

Upcoming cycle training events are aimed at anyone who wants to brush up on their cycling skills and help ensure they are riding safely on the road.

Transport Services has teamed up with Oxfordshire County Council to provide two dedicated cycle training days in April:

  • Monday 17 April (1.00pm to 3.00pm)

  • Friday 21 April (10.00am to midday)

These will take place off campus around the streets of Oxford. Places are limited and on a first come first served basis. To register and find further details please fill in the Google Form.

Receive further discounts on second-hand bikes

To help support access to sustainable travel, a range of second hand bicycles are available to purchase. Details of the current bikes on sale can be found on Facebook. You can receive a 10% discount off a second-hand bike by showing your University ID card to the Bike Doctor team.

Bike marking

Don’t forget that you can get your bike security marked and registered via the BikeRegister website. It’s a highly effective, visible deterrent to thieves and makes it more likely that you will be reunited with your bike. The University’s Security team will be hosting a bike marking event on the Piazza, outside of the John Henry Brookes Building on the Headington Campus, between 11.00am and 2.00pm on Tuesday 18 April.

If you would like your bike registered you can request a free bike marking kit from the Oxford Brookes University Online Shop. For further information please visit the Security webpage.
