Oxford Brookes will be a Bronze Sponsor for Oxford Pride on Saturday 8 June 2024.

Staff and students from all areas of the University are encouraged to join the Oxford Pride Parade under the Brookes banner to celebrate LGBTQ+ inclusion and enjoy the day.

The Parade will be starting at the Radcliffe Camera from 10.30am (meet from 9.00am) and then march through the city to the Oxford Pride event in the Castle Quarter, Paradise Street and Leiden Square.

From midday onwards there will be a wide range of dazzling performances across the event stages including musicians, drag queens and comedy acts. See the full programme in the Oxford Pride Guide 2024.

The University will also hold a stall in the Community Marketplace to engage with Pride attendees and raise awareness of the University as an LGBTQ+ inclusive employer, place to study and community partner. Staff from the Community Engagement team, Equality Diversity and Inclusion team and the LGBTQ+ Staff Forum will be there on the day - come along and say hello, play games, test your knowledge and pick up some colourful freebies.

Brookes Union and the LGBTQ+ Student Network will also be taking part in the Parade and Marketplace with celebratory crafts and badge-making activities.

Oxford Pride is free to attend and open to all. If you have any questions about joining us on the day get in touch with your VP Liberation and Community, Erika, at etoguy@brookes.ac.uk.
