Our vision for the Student Hub

A new Student Hub opened on Monday 9 February on the ground floor of the John Henry Brookes Building, Headington Campus, using student feedback and our extensive research into how to offer a better student support and advice service.

The Student Hub will provide a dependable point of contact for students across a wide range of non-academic queries, advice and support.

Our ambition for the Student Hub

As a university, we are working to ensure that students have the following experience:

  • It will feel quick and easy to find and access the information, advice, support or service you need, both online and on campus.
  • You will only need to tell us once what you need, and you’ll then be directed straight to the team who can help you.
  • You can be confident that any sensitive information you share with us can be done discreetly. You’ll trust us and understand what information may be shared, with whom and why.
  • You will know what to expect from the service, including response times. If you have an urgent need, you will get a prompt response.
  • Our information, advice and processes will be easy to understand.

Where you don’t feel that these ambitions are being realised yet, please let us know as we continue to learn and improve.

What’s next?

Launching this new Student Hub is just one of the ways we are improving our services for students. We are planning more improvements, including better information and access to services online and through new channels such as Student Chat. So watch this space for more details in the coming months.

We want to know about your experiences with the new Student Hub, so please give us your feedback so we can continue to improve.
