Transport

Once you're at Oxford Brookes you'll find your way around in no time. Our campuses, halls of residence and the City Centre are easily accessed by the Brookesbus service. It also goes to the Cowley Road and Oxford rail station. If you prefer to walk or cycle, there are designated routes to the University.

BROOKESbus

Students who live in halls of residence will get the chance to buy a discounted BROOKESbus pass which entitles you to free travel on the BROOKESbus service and discounted travel around Oxford. Don't worry if you decide to live off campus, you might still qualify for this pass. If not, take a look at our student travel offers for more information.

You can find out more about the BROOKESbus and other bus and coach services, and check timetables on our dedicated Bus and Coach pages.

Cycling and walking

Cycling is also a very popular way of getting around. We have over 2,500 bike racks and we provide a bike doctor to help with cheap repairs and maintenance. And there are showers on all three main campuses too. Find out more on our Cycling page.

If you prefer walking, it only takes about 10 minutes from Headington Campus to Cowley Road and about 30 minutes into the city centre. If you would like to walk to campus there are maps on our travel pages. As well as details of our Brookes Health Walks - pleasant short walks around our campuses.

Car Club

Students at Oxford Brookes can get free membership to Co-wheels, the car club. Cars are available at locations across the city, you can book them online or on the phone. For a fee you can hire a car for as little as 30 minutes. Insurance is included and you only pay for the hire time and distance you drive. Take a look at the Car Club pages for more information.
