Headington Campus sits one mile east of Oxford city centre and is made up of three sites: Gipsy Lane, Headington Hill and Marston Road. With first rate facilities and award-winning green spaces, it’s an excellent environment for both work and leisure.

Headington Campus is home to a thriving student community living and learning in a modern, uplifting environment across three sites.
The buildings on campus house first-rate academic and leisure facilities including collaborative work spaces, the main University library, several catering outlets and a sports centre. The student support team, based in the John Henry Brookes Building, ensures that students have access to a full range of support and advice services on campus.

Opening hours for our Oxford campuses are:
- 7:00am - 9:00pm (Monday-Friday)
- 7.00am - 6.00pm weekends for the John Henry Brookes and Clerici Buildings only at Headington Campus.
Outside of these hours entry is by card access only (Salto access is 24/7).

Headington Campus (Gipsy Lane and Headington Hill sites)
We strongly advise you not to come by car unless absolutely necessary, since parking is very restricted in the city and on the campuses. If you wish to come by car, we recommend you use the Park & Ride bus services. The park and ride car parks are clearly signposted as you approach the city and the service is frequent all day and through the evening.
If you are using satellite navigation to find this campus the post code required is OX3 0BP.
- From the south - take the M40, leave at junction 8 and follow the signs for Oxford along the A40. Then follow the signs for the city centre on the London Road.
- From the north - take the M40, leave at junction 8a and follow the signs for Oxford along the A40. Then follow the signs for the city centre on the London Road.
- Coming to Oxford via another route - we recommend taking the ring road to the Headington Roundabout and following the signs to the city centre along the London Road. Continue along London Road, past the Headington shops.Go straight on at the traffic lights with the White Horse public house on the right and then at the next set of traffic lights turn left. Gipsy Lane site is on the right. Headington Hill site is approximately a further 500 metres straight on from the Gipsy Lane junction on the right

Trains
There are direct train services to Oxford from many UK towns and cities, many at least hourly and sometimes half-hourly. For other places, there is usually a simple change en route at Birmingham or Reading, or in London. Trains for Oxford from London depart from Paddington Station, and are run by First Great Western Link. During the daytime the trains depart from Paddington approximately every 15 minutes, and depart approximately every 30 minutes during the late evening. The journey time is about one hour.

Coaches
The Oxford Tube is an inter-city, direct motorway coach service from London. The service runs as often as every 10-15 minutes most of the day, every 20-30 minutes late evenings and hourly right through the night. Travel time is 70-110 minutes depending on traffic. Pay the driver - you don't have to book ahead.

Coaches from the airport and London stop near Oxford Brookes Headington campus (PDF) on Headington Road. You will have to walk about 300 metres from the stop to Oxford Brookes' main entrance, which is on Gipsy Lane. If you have lots of luggage with you and need a taxi to your accommodation, stay on the coach until the last stop,which is Gloucester Green coach station in the centre of Oxford. It is much easier to find a taxi from there.
