Swindon Campus

Overview

Our Swindon Campus is located in West Swindon, in the Delta Business Park. It was officially opened in February 2017 and features brand new facilities to enhance student learning, collaboration and research. The Joel Joffe building is named after Lord Joel Joffe, a long-time Swindon resident and former human rights lawyer.

Swindon Campus is home to state-of-the-art academic facilities including a subject library, clinical skills lab and up-to-date simulation training equipment.

Opening hours

Our Swindon campus opening hours are:

Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 7.00pm.

Outside of these hours entry is by card access only (Salto access is 24/7).

Travel

Driving to Swindon campus

Oxford Brookes University’s Swindon Campus is based in the Joel Joffe Building on the Delta Business Park, to the west of the town centre.

Parking is limited and chargeable. If you are attending an Open Day event, please pre-book by emailing uniopenday@brookes.ac.uk. Please do not park in other business car parks within the Delta 900 business park.

If you are using a Satnav, please be aware that due to the location of the campus, the postcode of SN5 7XQ may take you past the entrance road.

Visitors turning onto Welton Road from the B4006 will need to take the 2nd right and follow the road around to the left.
Visitors turning onto Welton Road from the Westlea Drive, Stonehill Green and Bentham Close roundabout, will need to take the 1st left and follow the road around to the left.

Traveling by train

The nearest railway station to the site is Swindon located 3.3 km away. It is managed by First Great Western and provides frequent services to Bristol, Cardiff, Swansea, Bath, Didcot, Reading, London and Cheltenham Spa. The railway station is located 200 meters from the bus station, which means that Delta 900 has an excellent connection to the railway station.

Oxford Brookes Swindon Campus is approximately a 50 minute walk, 30 minute bus ride and about a 10 minute taxi ride away from Swindon station.

Traveling by bus

There are bus services that get you to our Swindon Campus.

The nearest bus stop is the Westlea Fire Station located about 10 minutes’ walk on the B4006.
- Both the 19/19A and 154 services operate from this stop towards the town centre.
An additional bus stop is located on Paddington Drive, around a 15 minute walk, served by the 19/19A and 22 service.

The support services team also ensures that Swindon students have access to a full range of support and advice services on campus.

Oxford Brookes University is committed to providing a campus that is accessible to all individuals, including those with mobility challenges. The University regularly assesses and upgrades its facilities to ensure they meet the required accessibility standards. Lifts on campus

Details of the locations, statuses and alternative routes for lifts across our campus sites are available to view via an online Google Sheet. If you notice a faulty lift which is showing as "in service" in the Google Sheet, the University will not be aware of an issue. Please report any lift faults by logging into ServiceNow and raising a maintenance ticket, by emailing ecs-maintenance@brookes.ac.uk, or by calling 01865 60 3330. In the case of a lift emergency, such as being trapped, please call Security on their 24/7 phone number of 01865 603060.
