Our teaching is led by experienced clinicians and world-class researchers who share the latest thinking and real-world insights with you.
Most of our healthcare research is rated as ‘world-leading’, and it directly influences how care is delivered in practice.
Through the Oxford Institute for Applied Health Research we bring together respected voices in healthcare to share their knowledge and inspire future healthcare professionals.
Our collaboration with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust means our research and teaching are closely connected to real clinical settings.
Whether you’re passionate about supporting families, caring for adults, helping children thrive, or improving mental health, we have a course for you. Our Nursing and Midwifery degrees are designed to give you the knowledge, experience, and confidence to make a positive impact on patient care.
We also offer post-registration courses to support your continued professional development and help you take the next step in your career.
Our courses are highly rated and shaped by the latest evidence from both practice and research. Healthcare is always evolving—and through the unique partnership at the heart of the Oxford School of Nursing and Midwifery, we’re helping to lead that change.
You’ll learn in cutting edge, purpose-built facilities. From your first day, you’ll be supported to build the practical skills and confidence you need to succeed on placements and in your future career.
Here’s how our facilities support your learning:
The quality of our simulation education is rated highly and for nursing can be counted as practice learning hours as validated by our professional body, the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
We know that high quality placements help shape great nurses and midwives. That’s why, we'll ensure you spend 2,300 hours in a range of real healthcare settings, which includes the use of simulation for nursing students.
We’ll support you as you develop your practical and communication skills, as well as the confidence you need to positively care for people no matter the setting.
