of staff and 58.5% of students are women, with higher proportions in Health and Life Sciences and Humanities and Social Sciences.

of professors at Oxford Brookes are women compared to 29.7% for the HE sector.

of senior academic staff are women compared to 37.9% for the HE sector.

of salaried staff report their gender identity as different from the sex assigned at birth.

of students identify as from Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds, compared to 16.3% of salaried staff and 23.9% of hourly paid staff.

of BAME students identify as from Asian backgrounds and 26.7% of Black heritage.

of professors identify as from a BAME background compared to 12% in the HE sector.

of staff new starters in 2022-23 identified as from a BAME background.

of students identify as LGB+ compared to 6.3% of staff, while for 16% of staff sexual orientation is unknown.

of staff identify with a religion or belief while 37.4% have no religion and 17.7% prefer not to say or provide no data.

Among disabled staff, 33.1% have a specific learning difference and 18% report a mental health condition.
