Training
All students are expected to complete a range of mandatory training as part of their induction at Brookes, this includes a mandatory induction module which outlines support available, reporting and unacceptable behaviours.
Additionally students are strongly encouraged to complete an online consent course delivered by Brook.
All staff at Brookes are expected to complete a mandatory EDI Induction e-learning that includes dedicated modules on harassment and sexual harassment.
Specific members of staff who are deemed likely to receive disclosures from students are invited to complete the online workshop 'Responding to student reports of harassment and sexual misconduct' which is co delivered by our Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) and Anti-Harassment and EDI Advisor.
Any staff member involved in undertaking, supporting or agreeing outcomes of student investigations also complete investigator training delivered by the Student Investigations and Resolutions Team.
Senior staff members who are involved in undertaking, supporting or agreeing outcomes of staff investigations must also complete additional investigator training.
